چکیده
There are multiple errors in the fifth sentence of the “Cell culture and treatments” subsection of the Materials and Methods. The correct sentence is: Differentiated L6 cells, given fresh media and reagents for 24 hours, were divided into five groups: a normoxia group (NORc) with vehicle, a control group (CONc) with vehicle, a myricetin group (10 μmol/L, this concentration was used based on previous results by Huang et al.[23]; MC), a SIRT1-inhibited myricetin group (SI-MC) with both myricetin (10 μmol/L) and the SIRT1 inhibitor nicotinamide (5 mmol/L; Abcam, USA), an AMPK-inhibited myricetin group (AI-MC) with both myricetin (10 μmol/L) and the AMPK inhibitor dorsomorphin dihydrochloride (20 μmol/L; Santa Cruz, USA).

Protective Effects of Myricetin on Acute Hypoxia-Induced Exercise Intolerance and Mitochondrial Impairments in Rats
PURPOSE Exercise tolerance is impaired in hypoxia. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of myricetin, a dietary flavonoid compound widely found in fruits and vegetables, on acute hypoxia-induced exercise intolerance in vivo and in vitro. METHODS Male rats were administered myricetin or vehicle for 7 days and subsequently spent 24 hours at a barometric pressure equivalent to 5000 ...
متن کاملCurcumin Ameliorates Sodium Valproate Induced Neurotoxicity through Suppressing Oxidative Stress and Preventing Mitochondrial Impairments
Background and purpose: Curcumin is a natural polyphenolic compound in turmeric (Curcuma longa). Curcumin has potent free radical scavenger and antioxidant properties that could significantly reduce oxidative damage. Oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction contribute to valproate sodium induced tissue damage. This study investigated the protective effects of curcumin against valproate so...
متن کاملExercise during adolescence attenuated depressive-like behaviors and hippocampal mitochondrial dysfunction following early life stress in adult male rats
Purpose: In this study, we assumed that treating animals with an antidepressant agents or voluntary running wheel exercise (RW) during adolescence may have protective effects against early life stress (ELS) which can impact on behavior and mitochondrial function. Evidence indicates that ELS has deleterious effects on brain and behavior and increases the risk of mental disorders such as depressi...

متن کاملComparison of the Protective Effects of Curcumin and Nanocurcumin on Acrolein Induced Mitochondrial Toxicity Isolated from Rat Liver
Background and Objectives: Contact with acrolein rapidly reduces intracellular glutathione and its antioxidant capacity and causes mitochondrial dysfunction. The use of some polymeric nanocurcumin increases the stability of curcumin. In this study, the effect of these two, was investigated on acrolein-induced toxicity in mitochondria isolated from rat liver cells. Methods: In this experiment...
